10 Wrestlers Who Were Billed From Ridiculous Places

9. Planet Funk - Brodus Clay

The Boogeyman
WWE

Brodus Clay couldn't have been thrilled when WWE creative informed him that he was going to be portraying 375-pound dancer who hailed from a location known as Planet Funk. It certainly doesn't sound like the sort of gimmick that winds up headlining WrestleMania.

Along with fellow Planet Funk residents The Funkadactyls (Namoi and Cameron), Clay attempted to dance his way into the hearts of WWE Universe. The man who would go on to be known as the Funkasurus was able to last for almost three years in WWE before being released in 2014.

The Funkadactyls would both go on to have wrestling careers in WWE, with Naomi even winning the SmackDown Women's Championship. However, once they parted ways with Clay, neither woman would go on to claim Planet Funk as their place of origin.

Perhaps being associated with a planet known for producing 375-pound men who dance around in bright red track suits isn't the best move for ones career.
