10 Wrestlers Who Were Critical Of AEW

7. Jim Cornette

The point of this piece was to isolate specific complaints wrestlers have had with All Elite Wrestling during its relative short existence and consider how reasonable, rational or random they are and were.

Positivity trolls on Twitter and Reddit specifically have poisoned the well in terms of offering faint praise to "all wrestling" when in fact they're wrong - it's absolutely okay to only like one promotion, not least because that's what having different tastes is all about.

The problem comes when somebody dislikes one so much that it can only possibly be in bad faith. Jim Cornette - and what a shame this is - set his stall out early against Kenny Omega and The Elite specifically, and found clicks and engagement in sh*tting on them from there. He doesn't hate everything All Elite, but his devotees have become so expectant when it comes to his vitriol that the brand will be rooted in it regardless of their output.

For years removed from his acrimonious WWE exit, people hoped Cornette could one day still feature in the mainstream wrestling conversation. It's a shame how that's ended up being true.
