10 Wrestlers Who Were Driven Out Of The Business

6. Teddy Hart

Palmer Cannon
Peacock/NBC

It's a miracle that Teddy Hart was booked for as long as he was by promotions you've actually heard about.

An athletic phenom so self-obsessed that he made a total parody of the getting-their-sh*t-in excesses of the 2000s indies scene, he was also an innovator. He introduced several new moves throughout a single match, which were were chaotic displays of frenzied athleticism impossible to track. This was consistent with his very disposition; he was infamous for talking uninterrupted for hours at a time, regaling everybody in his proximity with the awful realities of his life with no compunction.

The man was so unhinged that he was the reason WWE stopped recruiting talent in their teens and early 20s for a long time.

While Teddy Hart claims to have no knowledge about the disappearance of then-girlfriend Samantha Fiddler in 2016, and is not a person of interest in her missing person case, the story was brought back into focus via the recent Peacock documentary 'Dangerous Breed'. This repurposed reality show underscored that Hart, variously accused of abuse and sexual assault, is a bad and terrifying human being - but even then, the man hasn't wrestled anywhere that would publicise his work on record since 2020.

Even the most shameless of promoters know better than to book him for a cash-grab.
