10 Wrestlers Who Were Given Way Too Many Chances

9. & 8. Primo And Epico

Neither Primo or Epico are bad wrestlers in the least. They’re fine in the ring, but have yet to ever get over together. It’s a bit of a wonder why management feels they absolutely must be kept as a team!

Part of the problem is that they are the cousin (Epico) and brother (Primo) of Carlito, who is easily the most charismatic of the three. Once he left the company, the two were joined together in late 2011, and have been with each other ever since. Their first team— the creatively named Primo and Epico— won tag team gold, but that’s more a statement on the weakness of the division than their popularity. The addition of Rosa to the act didn’t do much to help their standings.

The two were taken off TV and re-debuted as Los Matadores, which is a gimmick that may have worked in 1985, but not 2015. After being relegated to the role of jobbers, they came back as The Shining Stars, which is one of the laziest gimmicks in years. Basically, they love Puerto Rico and want you to go there.

And that? That’s not cool.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
