10 Wrestlers Who Were Hilariously Upstaged By Other Wrestlers
6. John Cena And Batista Get Upstaged By Vince McMahon
Maybe Paul London was just getting revenge on behalf of Batista and John Cena for two-and-a-half years earlier, as the boss firmly overshadowed them during the closing moments of the 2005 Royal Rumble match.
In a now famous moment, Cena and Batista both went over the top rope at the exact same time, hitting the floor so closely together that declaring a unanimous winner was impossible.
Enraged that his carefully executed final spot had gone to the dogs, Vince angrily strode out to the ring to issue commands. He slid into the ring, only to bang his leg on the apron, and completely blow out one of his quadriceps.
This led to Vince barking orders whilst sitting on the floor, unable to stand on his broken wheel. The site of 60-year-old Vince sprawled out like an angry toddler was unreal and completely distracted from the matter at hand.
Oh, and to make matters worse, he then blew out his other quad trying to walk to the back.
Still, this story has become synonymous with the event, although maybe not for any reason Vince would be happy with.
