In terms of wrestlers deliberately mucking about in matches to get revenge on their colleagues, there are few more notable or more hilarious instances than the main event of SummerSlam 2005.

Hulk Hogan was famously easy to work with and never wanted to change anything at the last minute. Oh no, hang on, the opposite of that.

After starting a feud with Shawn Michaels, Hogan allegedly reneged on plans to face HBK in a trilogy of matches, instead negotiating down to one. That he would win. And Michaels would have to turn heel.

Great.

However, The Hulkster forgot that he was dealing with the man who had inherited his title as "Biggest A-Hole Backstage" and Shawn was about to remind him of that.

During their one and only encounter at SummerSlam 2005, Michaels oversold the heck out of Hogan's offence. He flopped around like a bungee-jumping salmon, completely ruining any credibility the match might have had.

It's one of the biggest tantrums wrestling has ever seen. But you know what, considering what Hogan did to Michaels and countless other wrestlers with his creative control, we reckon The Showstopper was in the right here.
