10 Wrestlers Who Were Hilariously Upstaged By Other Wrestlers

3. Faarooq Gets Upstaged By The Rock

The original inspiration for this list - thanks to EvitoQQ for this post on Reddit - we take you back to the very first No Way Out pay-per-view from the year 1998.

Whilst getting ready for his stable's upcoming War of Attrition match, Nation of Domination leader Faarooq cuts a promo backstage with Dok Hendrix, aka Michael P.S. Hayes.

We'd love to tell you what he spoke about, but we can't. We were way too distracted by a young man named Dwayne Johnson pratting about in the foreground.

The Rock was about six months into his first heel run, having ditched his blue chipper attitude in favour of the Nation. However, he quickly outgrew the group, as we can see here.

Whilst Faarooq tries to hype up the match, Rock pulls all sorts of silly faces in response to what he says. Basically, 40% of all Rock gifs you've ever seen come from this 90 second promo.

You can tell from the way he carries himself and the emotions he is able to convey with his face that this kid is going to be a big star someday.

Props to Ron Simmons for keeping a straight face.
