10 Wrestlers Who Were More Successful After Their Time In WWE

2. Doc Gallows

When Luke Gallows was released from WWE, he was but a footnote in their history. His run in the Straight Edge Society was memorable but when CM Punk exploded he was left behind. No one would have guessed that the next time he would appear on Monday Night Raw it would be as a genuine star. That's because no one could have guessed what he would do in his time away from the company.

Heading out to Japan, Doc Gallows would team up with Karl Anderson and become a member of the now legendary Bullet Club. Crotch chopping, swearing and doing pretty much everything they could to annoy Japanese wrestling fans, they quickly became one of the coolest things in professional wrestling and Gallows was a central part of that. While there he and Anderson would go on to be three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions and win the 2013 World Tag League.

Perhaps even more impressively, he caught WWE's eye again and was approached to come back. However, rather than joining NXT like his former stable leader Finn Balor or the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura, he was promoted straight to the main roster and presumably into a big role. Gallows might now have returned to WWE, but he made his name in Japan alongside his brothers in The Bullet Club.
