10 Wrestlers Who Were More Successful After Their Time In WWE

3. Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega is one of the few wrestlers on the planet who can claim to have wrestled a small girl. Impressively, he can claim to have actually pulled a pretty decent match out of her. And yet most people aren't even aware that he spent time in WWE’s system. From 2005 to 2006 he was in Deep South Wrestling under a developmental contract. However, he never made his way to the main roster and not even a year after his arrival he requested his release.

Since then Omega has made a name for himself as one of the best wrestling characters around. From his work with The Bullet Club in Japan to his recent run as The Elite with The Young Bucks in ROH - which saw the debut of Kenny Broomega - he is just a joy to watch.

Since AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura left New Japan, Omega has taken both Styles' role as the leader of The Bullet Club and Nakamura's Intercontinental Championship, suggesting there are big plans for him over in Japan. Omega has openly admitted to having turned down WWE several times since he left, so it seems safe to assume he is going to keep succeeding on his own for a long time yet.
