7. Serena
Serena Deeb joined WWE as part of CM Punk's Straight Edge Society, renouncing her past as an addict and accepting a head-shaving en route to a cleansing from the increasingly Mansonesque Punk. Along with Luke Gallows, she did Punk's dirty work, aiding him in his self-righteous quest to preach his message and annoy those who disagreed with him. In August of 2010, Serena was suddenly fired - reportedly for not living out her straight edge gimmick in real life. While wrestlers aren't expected to continuously stay in character, decision-makers at WWE clearly thought it was important for Serena to abstain from any non-straight edge activity for the sake of storyline, and she didn't feel the same way. Just a month prior to her firing, WWE ran an angle where Serena was caught on camera entering a bar, earning a chastisement from Punk. In retrospect, many viewed that as a not-so-veiled message from the company for her to live the gimmick.
