10 Wrestlers Who Were Wrongly Judged On ONE Match

2. Booker T Is Overhyped

It's mad to think that future two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T was almost discarded along with fellow ex-WCW man Buff Bagwell because of one dodgy match. Their clanger on the 2 July 2001 edition of Raw was roundly considered a washout, and it went some way towards McMahon saying 'f*ck that' about WCW as a standalone brand.

Booker was lumped in with Buff. Think about that.

Bagwell wasn't horrible during his peak, but he was never anywhere close to Booker as a worker. T had proven himself for years in WCW, and he'd carved his own path to the top. Plus, he was one of the few WCW headliners who looked like a stick-on to succeed in the WWF. Then, that Raw match happened.

Booker also broke Steve Austin's hand during an early angle, which didn't go down well with the locker room doubters. He was off to a rough start, but that'd change once guys got to see that Book wasn't overhyped at all.
