10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion Again

5. Goldberg

Making something of a mockery of the idea of being "too old" to lift a world championship in modern times, Da Man's bulldozing of Kevin Owens at Fastlane 2017 saw Goldberg shockingly lift the Universal Championship at 50-years-old.

And then he'd only go and win the strap once again three years later vs. Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown, the scamp.

However, the days of strapping up over-the-hill part-timers definitely seem like they're on the cusp of coming to an end now that the new regime is at the WWE creative wheel.

That's not to say that big Bill can't be used sparingly elsewhere, though.

As seen over the last few years, there's definitely money to be made in having the intense ol' wrecking machine collide with younger meaty monsters. Having the likes of Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley go over the one-time unstoppable WCW legend has helped add further credibility to all of those current top-tier workers.

And with Goldberg himself even happily acknowledging how his role has changed more recently, telling Talk is Jericho (via WrestlingNews) that, "I'm not the number one main character in it anymore", fans can seemingly rest easy knowing Da Man won't be taking home Da top belt again any time soon.
