10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be WWE Champion Again

9. Jeff Hardy

What makes Jeff Hardy so popular is his unshakeable reputation as a hard-luck wrestling underdog for whom things never, ever seem to go according to plan (a good example of which being the fact that his maiden WWE Title reign ended because his brother got a case of the Mondays).

It follows from this that, while it's perfectly possible he'll get another main event push between now and the next time he's released for no-showing an event, it'll probably culminate with the Charismatic Enigma sitting in the ring, forlorn, while his opponent celebrates victory up the aisle.

But, you know what? We can probably all live with that. There's actually a good argument to be made that Jeff doesn't really need another title reign: his legacy as one of the company's all-time greatest risk-takers is already set in stone, and he has tended to be more popular chasing a dream anyway.

Besides: it would probably better for Woken Matt if they kept the spotlight firmly away from his little bro - at least for the foreseeable future, anyway. He is still hard at work establishing his character. Distractions of this kind aren't needed.
