10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be WWE Champion Again
2. Jinder Mahal
If you believe wrestling fans on the internet, Jinder Mahal was made WWE Champion for the sole and exclusive purpose of trying to bring in some extra revenue from a market in which the company has traditionally performed poorly.
That seems awfully harsh, though, so let's just agree instead that he got the belt without any proper build-up, and has proven over subsequent months that he is nowhere near ready to step into the shoes of SmackDown's leading man.
Wrestlers, like all of us, don't stay frozen in time. If the Modern Day Maharaja learns the lessons of his disappointing maiden title reign, there's a good chance he could grow into a really solid upper mid-card star, and from there winning the title again isn't a huge stretch.
There's a big caveat to that though. You don't have to go very far back in WWE history for examples of wrestlers who reached the promise land too soon, and then took a sharp nosedive in the opposite direction.
Jinder may well follow the cautionary examples of Jack Swagger and The Miz instead.
