10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Get Another Big Push

9. Cesaro

Cesaro never had a major push in WWE, but there was a time when he had a massive upside and felt capable of becoming a main event wrestler. Those days are long gone. It seems the rest of his run in the company will be as a midcard talent who puts over others on their way to the top. It's not what most fans are hoping for, but it feels inevitable at this point.

Time and time again, management has given Cesaro a little something, only to take it away. He had a pair of fantastic matches against John Cena during his US Title run, which could have been used as a way to propel him into stardom. The follow-up was weak, though, and he sunk right back to where he was.

When the brand split went down, Cesaro again seemed poised to be given something, mainly due to both shows needing to focus on underutilized talent. Months later, he's still waiting on any sort of singles push. He originally expressed frustration with being moved to Raw, which now seems justifiable as he's been stuck either in a tag team with Sheamus, or feuding with him ever since. The duo is over, but not in any money-making sort of way. When they break up, we may see the Swiss Superman perhaps land in the US Title scene once again, but that’s about his ceiling.

If the Wrestling Observer’s Most Underrated wrestler of four years in a row wants to finally find main event success, like so many believe he deserves, he’s going to have to do it outside of WWE.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
