10 Wrestlers Who Will PEAK In 2023

6. Josh Alexander

Some 17 years into a solid career, Josh Alexander looks primed for a 2023 of real substance. Not even a month into the year and he has already hit an important milestone, surpassing Robert Roode to become the longest tenured Impact World Champion in company history.

That’s an important achievement for Alexander, who feels like a real locker room leader for the often underrated promotion. He has spoken of his disappointment with AEW’s brief working relationship with Impact, noting that the Impact stars never got to appear on Dynamite and ate losses far more often than not. He clearly cares a great deal about the job - in other words, he represents the business like a champion.

He also works a style that will never go out of fashion, a high intensity, amateur-grounded approach that feels gritty and believable. He’s a pro’s pro, and would be an asset to any company that wished to take a punt on him.

For now, though, he’s one of the highlights of Impact programming, and a worthy man to lead the company into the new year.
