10 Wrestlers Who Will Undoubtedly Return To WWE Eventually
7. CM Punk
No, this isn't your obligatory "CM Punk will return to WWE in 2016" article, but I have believed since the moment the news broke that he left the company in January 2014 that he would be back eventually. That doesn't mean next week, next month or next year. It could be another two or three decades before we hear "Cult of Personality" in a WWE arena again, but it will happen. All of wrestling's biggest names return at some point: look no further than Bruno Sammartino, Bret Hart and The Ultimate Warrior. They're all in the good graces of the company despite once being on bad terms with Vince McMahon. Obviously there's a sticking point: Punk's situation with WWE has been compared to theirs before, but he's said he plans on being the only individual to not make amends with them. Take that for what it's worth, but he just needs the time away. He was beyond burned out when he left. He loved wrestling too much for him not to go back down the line. And again, it probably won't be in a wrestling role. One more match from The Voice of Voiceless is ideal, sure, but not probable, especially at this stage. If anything, he'll be back for a WWE Hall of Fame induction one day, an accolade he is definitely deserving of.
