10 Wrestlers Who Will Undoubtedly Return To WWE Eventually

6. John Morrison

When John Morrison departed WWE in November 2011, fans assumed he was taking a brief break from wrestling and would be back at some point the following year. It's now been almost five years since he left and he has yet to resurface, but for good reason as he explored acting for a time and then signed with Lucha Underground in late 2014. It's been there that he has rejuvenated his character and has done some of the best work of his wrestling career. As Johnny Mundo, he is one of the promotion's most talented prospects. From his matches with Prince Puma, King Cuerno and Alberto El Patron, he has shown that he is still very capable of performing at the highest level. It's just a shame that he never received the world title run he deserved during his time with WWE. Regardless, even Morrison has said himself on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast that his long-term goal is to make it back to WWE. He will be tied up with Lucha Underground for the foreseeable future, which certainly isn't a bad thing for fans or for him, but once his contract runs out, expect to see him reemerge on Raw. He could be even better than he was when he walked away.
