10 Wrestlers Who Will Undoubtedly Return To WWE Eventually

4. Kurt Angle

When Angle left WWE in 2006, he had virtually accomplished it all, and seeing as how his body was breaking down on him, he picked a good time to take a rest. But instead of sitting on the sidelines for a few months and going back to work, he signed with TNA where he has been ever since. Interestingly enough, Angle has now wrestled for TNA longer than he did for WWE, but at the end of the day, fans still associate him with the latter more than they do with the former. And truthfully speaking, that's where he belongs. That's where he started his career and that's where it should end. It sounds perfect in theory for him to finish off his career on the grand stage of WrestleMania, but lingering heath issues might prevent that from being a possibility. If there was any time for Angle to go back, it was in the fall of 2014, but it had nothing to do with him. Vince McMahon and/or Triple H reportedly wanted him to work a full-time schedule, which the Olympic Gold Medalist wisely turned down. He returned to TNA for a little over a year and he is currently on his way out. He has already made it clear he plans on taking a break from wrestling for the next year before reevaluating his options, and when he does, one has to wonder whether WWE will take top priority, as it should.
