1. Kota Ibushi - The Elite

At the conclusion of Anarchy in the Arena. Konosuke Takeshita surprisingly joined Don Callis in helping The Blackpool Combat Club defeat the recently reuinted Elite. On top of being surprise to fans of the Japanese rising star, it also puts Kenny, Matt, Nick and Adam at a five to four disadvantage in their fight against The BCC. While there are a few options to even the odds, there is really only one man for the job.

Arguably the peak of The Elite's story was back in 2018 when Kenny Omega finally won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, also creating The Golden Elite with Matt and Nick Jackson and Kota Ibushi. While this lead to The Golden Lovers teaming with various Bullet Club members, The Young Bucks and Hangman Page never teamed with the dynamic duo.

As of 1 February, Kota Ibushi has been a free agent and has not wrestled since March. It has been report that the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been using this time to weigh his options regarding his future. At 41 years of age, The Golden Star remains one of the best wrestlers in the world and arguably the most sought after free agent in the world of professional wrestling. Eddie Kingston and Tomohiro Ishii are suitable fill ins for The Elite, but as their fight with Blackpool Combat Club continues to intensify, Kota Ibushi is the perfect fit to join the fight.
