10 Wrestlers Whose Entrances Were Better Than Their Matches

Chuck Palumbo is a journeyman, having had no end of gimmicks through his career. From the WCW Power Plant themed ‘Natural Born Thrillers’ stable in WCW to the affectionate bleached hair Billy and Chuck tag team to the stereotypical Italian American ‘The Full Blooded Italians’ trio with Nunzio and Johnny ‘The Bull’ Stamboli.

When Palumbo was released from WWE in 2004 only to be rehired in 2006 he debuted a new biker gimmick. It was inspired by his real-life love of motorcycles, owning his own garage on the side where he creates custom-order bikes. Ultimately the role/look was a rip-off of The Undertaker’s ‘American Badass’ persona but still worked as a mid-card attraction. His entrance involved him coming down the ramp on his motorcycle, repeatedly revving the engine and circling the ring before entering the ring.

The entrance overall was entertaining but there was no fan who particularly cared what happened once Palumbo’s matches began. He got a decent push with the gimmick but it went nowhere. Even his association with Michelle McCool did nothing for him. Fans did care when he hit his Full Throttle finisher though as it meant the match was finally over. It was a case of the entrance being far better than anything Palumbo could produce in the ring, regardless of the calibre of opponents he faced at the time like Jamie Noble, Charlie Haas and CM Punk.
