10 Wrestlers Whose Most Memorable Moment Was In Defeat

10. Shawn Michaels At WrestleMania XXV

There are so many memorable losses in the career of Shawn Michaels, but his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV is the one that really stands out the most and is probably the biggest moment of his career.. The Undertaker's streak was pushed so hard that it would have been a major surprise to see Michaels end it. We knew it would be a great match, though, and they were able to exceed expectations. After numerous near falls, each of which drew a massive reaction from the crowd, it was clear that they were having a classic out there. When Undertaker caught Michaels doing a moonsault and nailed him with a Tombstone Piledriver, it signalled the end of quite possibly the greatest WrestleMania match ever. They did it again a year later, with Michaels retiring after he once again tasted defeat. Michaels was nicknamed "Mr. WrestleMania" even though his record was 6-11 at the biggest event of the year. He got the name because of his performance at WrestleMania, not the record.
