10 Wrestlers Whose Stock Has Dropped The Most Since WWE WrestleMania 37
1. Sasha Banks
Your writer is still struggling to understand the reasoning behind reintroducing a sidelined Sasha Banks on SmackDown the day before this year's Royal Rumble event, only to have The Boss suddenly bow out of the contest just under ten minutes in.
Why not save the surprise for the night of the PPV itself? And is this really all the company have on the cards for one of their most eye-catching crossover stars currently available on their increasingly thin roster?
As of writing, one half of the match of the entire double-dose of PPV that was last year's 'Mania still has remarkably no real direction when it comes to what she'll be doing at this year's Show of Shows. That's if Banks is even used at all.
And adding to the odd response to a career-highlight night, thanks to being nudged out of her SummerSlam rematch against Bianca Belair last year due to not being cleared to compete, The Boss was quickly reduced to side character when it came to the SmackDown Women's Championship. Sure, she's collided with Charlotte Flair time and time again on tour in the months since failing to recapture her title, but it's increasingly feeling like Vince McMahon is more obsessed with his returning Ronda and Lynch than presenting The Boss as the megastar she can be on her day.
There's still hope that Bayley final chapter could come to fruition in the next few weeks, though. But even that would feel like a last-minute roll of the dice at this stage.
