2. Braun Strowman

He might be sidelined at the moment, but Braun Strowman has had an incredible year thus far. The former Wyatt Family man has profited from one of the most effective monster pushes in years, and it has successfully transformed him into one of the company’s biggest stars.

Strowman has been allowed to look incredibly strong against Roman Reigns, the company’s golden boy, which speaks volumes. Roman has been borderline bulletproof since WWE anointed him as “The Guy,” but Strowman has absolutely dominated him over the past few months, Fastlane aside. Payback saw him score a rare clean victory against Reigns, and with his popularity through the roof, Braun has become Raw’s most consistently enjoyable performer.

His injury came at the worst possible time. WWE were reportedly setting Strowman up for a huge clash with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in July, but the latest reports suggest he’ll be missing for up to six months. A huge blow, but the excellent work WWE have done with Braun throughout 2017 should make for a white-hot return later this year, and the monster will pick up exactly where he left off.
