10 Wrestlers Whose Stock Has Risen In 2019

6. Shawn Spears

At this time last year, the then-Tye Dillinger was jobbing to Sin Cara on WWE live events and struggling to do anything other than eat catering at TV tapings. Things didn't look good for the 'Perfect 10'. An escape route was needed, and it was AEW who provided him with one.

In July 2019, the re-dubbed Shawn Spears has newfound hope and the legendary Tully Blanchard as his manager. Not only that, he also has potentially career-altering issues with Cody Rhodes bubbling just beneath the surface. If that impending feud works out for Spears, then his Sin Cara woes of all will be firmly in the rear view mirror.

Thank God.

This is what AEW should be all about. Spears' rebirth should send word out that WWE hell isn't necessarily the end of someone. His signing is different from the days when TNA would flash their knickers at WWE rejects too. Spears wasn't one, he was just a talent who was grossly mismanaged.
