Drew McIntyre had one hell of a 'Mania 36. Beating Brock Lesnar clean as a whistle, reaching out to "touch" the WWE fans locked up at home due to the pandemic and writing his name into the history books had to feel so f*cking good for the Scotsman.

The rest of the year had to feel better.

McIntyre established himself as a main eventer for life during feuds with the likes of Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley and more. He enjoyed two reigns as WWE Champion, and dominated that title's landscape for most of the 12-month gap between PC restrictiveness and coming Tampa excitement.

It'd feel like a reward for carrying the can during a crowd-less era if WWE gave Drew another title win in front of fans at WrestleMania 37. Few deserve that experience more than him, but he can still look back on an impressive rise regardless of whether he actually beats Lashley or not.

Drew's stock has gone skyward since last year.
