10 Wrestlers Whose Theme Music Was More Over Than They Were
3. New Jack
Originally used by New Jack and Mustafa Saed as The Gangstas, Natural Born Killaz became New Jack's calling card when he went solo in ECW in 1999.
Carrying a shopping cart full of plunder to the ring, with which to use on his opponents, the murderous theme music set the tone for Jack's ultra violent exhibitions.
Natural Born Killaz was so integral to New Jack's persona, that the song played on repeat throughout all of his matches, even when he faced Mike Awesome for the ECW Championship in 1999.
Like all ECW entrance music, the company had no permission to use the song, so when Jack, like other lesser talented ECW performers went on to other promotions, their music and their aura were nowhere to be found.
The importance of "Natural Born Killaz" to New Jack's character was never better illustrated than when The Gangstas reformed to face Team 3D at TNA's piss poor ECW reunion show, Hardcore Justice.
Coming down the aisle to an instrumental TNA knock off of the theme, more Dr. Phil than Dr. Dre, which was then repeated unmercifully throughout the match in a pitiable attempt to recapture ECW's untamed audacity, New Jack was a jailbird without a song.
