7. Julius Creed

The usual take is that Bron Breakker is set to lead WWE into some transformative new era; that Bron Breakker is "can't miss".

There's a problem with that take, in that WWE is already missing his potential. Bron Breakker is an awesome prospect who WWE books like 2003 Goldberg because 1998 Goldberg isn't in their "playbook". Of course, he'll only learn the playbook by selling for prolonged periods, but does that flatter him? And must WWE matches follow the same virtually identical structure?

Already, Breakker has shown an inability to transcend sh*tty material, which he'll have to do if he wants to succeed on the main roster. His ongoing programme with Joe Gacy is risible in the extreme. Breakker is already on his goofy early '90s Ultimate Warrior trajectory, and he's never even approached his WrestleMania VI moment.

There is a breakout guy with amazing old-style jock energy in NXT, and his name is Julius Creed. Breakker is actually better right now, but Creed's performance in a recent Tag Title gauntlet match doubled as glimpse into his future; he emoted at a true TV level and to the required WWE standard after going an impressive distance with his brutally physical pop-friendly power game.
