10 Wrestlers With The Most Gimmicks
8. Charles Wright (10)
Yes, Papa Shango is a hall of famer these days. Wrestling is weird.
His earliest gimmick, The SoulTaker, was what garnered him the attention of the WWF, and during his tenure with the company, Charles Wright would put in a tremendous amount of time and energy, employing six different gimmicks during his time there. He worked house shows as Sir Charles, then made an impression on TV as Papa Shango, cursing the Ultimate Warrior to blow chunks while Hershey's syrup ran down Gene Okerlund's forehead.
From there, he became Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine, who most famously melted down the Undertaker's urn and forged a gold chain out of it. He would evolve that character into Kama Mustafa of the Nation of Domination, before embarking on his most famous gimmick as The Godfather, pimp extraordinaire and chief engineer of the Ho Train express. (Pimpin' ain't easy, but neither is keeping track of all these characters.)
A brief run with Right to Censor, WWE's cheapshot at parental advisory groups, led Wright to renounce his sinful ways and become The Goodfather, before resuming his career as WWE's premiere pimp (now that the Fabulous Moolah had stepped aside, that is).
He would also spend some time in the indies as Rocky Las Vegas, Baron Samedi, and -- wait for it -- Pimp Fatha. That is a resume as colorful as his outfits. Well played, Sir Charles.
