The third and final man with 10 WWE ladder matches under his belt, Rob Van Dam differs to most men in this list in that he has been incredibly successful when it comes to climbing ladders to retrieve prizes. In fact, his win percentage of 60% puts him top of that particular list. This increases to a frankly staggering 83% when it comes to singles matches, with RVD losing only once in such an environment.

The man to defeat him? Interestingly enough it was none other than fellow ECW alumni Sabu, on an episode of WWECW way back in 2006. It was a #1 Contenders match for the WWECW Championship, then held by Big Show. RVD would get back to winning ways with ladders a couple of months later however, when he defeated Show and gave himself the opportunity to pick his date for a future WWECW Championship match.

RVD defeated Jeff Hardy (twice), Shelton Benjamin and Christian in ladder matches over the years, and was also the winner of the second ever Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22. The man also has a 50% winning record in ladder matches in TNA. RVD has ladder match pedigree.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
