10 Wrestlers With The WWE Stink

2. Paul Heyman

Sonya Deville
WWE

Is this the worst run of Paul Heyman's WWE career?

Roman Reigns' "special counsel to the Tribal Chief' is doing much the same as he was alongside Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, and their original union in 2020 was absolutely the missing piece of the brand new Reigns heel puzzle, but what's been his purpose since then?

He stands next to Reigns. He stands next to the ring posts. He stands next to The Usos. And repeat. The former ECW chief has found his path as a probably WWE lifer, and few could have predicted that when relations were at their absolute worst between him and Vince McMahon following his 2006 departure. But cordial business relations between two promoters doesn't necessary make for good television, not least when it's clear just how much he's been prepared to nestle himself under McMahon's thumb.

Heyman doesn't run interference in the way he used to, and over-egged his parts when the inevitable questions of loyalty were asked during the Reigns' programme with Lesnar. Pulling funny faces used to be an accoutrement rather than the entire bit. Like much of the act, it's too phoned in to feel fully functional.
