10 Wrestlers WWE Don't Know What To Do With

8. Shelton Benjamin

Then, there's Chad's old partner.

Shelton Benjamin has repeatedly shown why WWE were interested in rehiring him years after his prime. The writing team know they can stick Shelty B in there against anyone and he'll have a good match. It's just what the guy does, and yet he was way more effective as a tag-team specialist.

Again, aside from making up numbers in the Superstar Shakeup by trading Gable to Raw, there doesn't appear to have been much of a plan after splitting he and Benjamin. Together, they had real potential as future SmackDown Tag-Team Champions. Apart, they're floating around aimlessly on separate shows.

Benjamin's strengths lie in his veteran status with older fans. To younger viewers, he's never going to be that credible singles threat, so it would've been better to hide that weakness by keeping him in a team. Now he's out of one, Shelton is stuck in a rut.

He must be having déjà vu to his last WWE run.
