10 Wrestlers WWE Fans Most Want To Win A World Title
8. The Miz

Let’s go back in time to the year 2016. The Miz did incredible things that year in his feuds with Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, and even brought back a lot of the lost prestige to the IC title. It was some of the best work of the Miz’s career, but unfortunately it didn’t culminate with a world title.
Fans are left with the memories of Miz’s six month 2011 reign with the WWE title that featured a Wrestlemania main event match with John Cena, that is to this day one of the worst main events in the show’s history. The real problem here, and probably part of the reason WWE are so reluctant to let him hold the belt again, is that Miz is a victim of winning the big one too soon. Back in 2011 Miz was getting over and working his way up the card. The only problem, he wasn’t yet a respected in-ring worker. It also didn’t help that Miz was treated as a joke as champion, often winning by fluke and interference the Miz was made to look like a weak champion. He even defended the belt on paper view against 60 year old announcer Jerry Lawler… The only real in-ring chemistry Miz had back then was with his old tag team partner John Morrison, who proceeded to leave later that year.
However, since this lackluster title reign Miz has reinvented himself as a Hollywood movie star and has become one of the most reliable members of the roster. Currently, Miz has his own TV show, is one of the best workers on the mic in WWE, and has tremendously improved in the ring. If WWE ever lets him move past Shane McMahon and into the main event scene it could be huge. Fans might even be able to move on and forget about his terrible first reign with the WWE title.
As a former hater of the Miz I can now honestly say he’s won me over and I hope he gets another shot at the world title, like he deserves.
