10 Wrestlers WWE Gave Up On In 2020

3. Aleister Black

Above is the face of a man who knows things are not going swimmingly.

Alarm bells started ringing when Aleister Black repeated the same, "Pick...a...fight...with...meeeeee" speech over and over (and over and over and...you get the point) again when he first jumped from NXT. He hasn't had one must-see feud since trading the black and yellow brand for Raw and SmackDown. Not even one.

Worse, WWE elected to strip Black of his macabre, identifiable entrance, slap some trousers on him and piggy-back on the whole 'Eye For An Eye' nonsense over the summer. That, so the announcers claimed, changed Aleister into a much darker character. No, symbolically rising from the grave on the stage wasn't dark enough, it seems.

Today, in December 2020, the formerly-thrilling strike machine has become just another guy hidden away on a packed undercard. How in the name of all things devilish did WWE manage to drop the ball so clumsily with this dude?
