1. Rusev
You would be forgiven for spotting the meaty man standing by the other members of The League of Nations and thinking he was some up-and-coming, no-name performer thrown in with a stable to gain some credibility. WWE committed 15 months to developing Rusev into an unbeatable power house, and although the tired anti-American gimmick was often difficult to stand, it was clear to see that The Bulgarian Brute was destined for big things within the company. Even following his first singles loss to John Cena occurring at WrestleMania 31 and consequent losses in the months to come, Rusev would have still been viewed as a serious threat had he not been booked as a jealous ex-lover. The icing on the cake came when WWE, specifically Vince McMahon, felt it fitting to punish Rusev and fiancée Lana, whose engagement was announced on TMZ during the love angle, by forcing Rusev to lose clean to Ryback in three minutes, capping off the slow erosion of The Bulgarian Brutes credibility. In a time when WWE could sorely use another big-name heel, Rusev has not only been underutilised but thoroughly buried.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
