10 Wrestlers WWE Have Wasted Since WrestleMania 33
6. Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose is fast earning a reputation for being a "B+ player", which seems awfully harsh. It wasn't entirely his fault that his 2016 WWE Title reign ended up being such a damp squib, neither that the company seems to have so little faith in his ability as a top draw.
At the end of the day, a workman is only as good as his tools. Since WrestleMania 33 - where he had to make do with a spot on the pre-show alongside Baron Corbin - The Lunatic Fringe has had virtually nothing to get his teeth into.
The only thing fans of the 32-year-old have had to shout about was October's Shield reunion. That was undeniably exciting, although perhaps not exciting enough to completely rid us of the nagging feeling that it's all in aid of another Roman Reigns mega-push in 2018.
Ambrose may not be a Stone Cold/John Cena style figurehead, but he's surely worth more than a spot on The Big Dog's cheer-leading squad. His career would have been much better served staying on Shane McMahon's SmackDown, where fresh, exciting feuds with the likes of Randy Orton and Sami Zayn might have awaited.
