10 Wrestlers WWE Loved Burying Over & Over
3. Heath Slater
Heath Slater is kind of an outlier on this list. Whilst his character wasn't credible, he was very endearing, and that was partly thanks to his consistent burial.
Slater went through a few stages in his career. He was once the One Man Band, which was a very promising gimmick. Within the Nexus he ended up getting buried as the entire stable did. Then after a brief stint with the Corre, he became a wrestler who feuded with legends and got defeated by every single one in some humiliating squash matches.
Afterwards, he would go on to form 3MB, then Slater-Gator, then the Social Outcasts. He was put into so many stables that were consistently buried. It was clear that WWE considered him a comedy talent purely there for the sake of being defeated.
But eventually, with the "I got kids" slogan and his constant losses, Slater became a bit of a champion of the people. His tag run with Rhyno was fun, and every time he appeared in a big match, the fans loved him even though they knew he'd lose.
It was a real catch 22 for Slater. Although his character was never going to be a main eventer, he at least had a strong position on the card.
Now wrestling for Impact, we shall see what happens next for the man and his kids.
