10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign Before 2017 Ends

2. Keith Lee

Keith Lee first tried out for WWE way back in 2008. It didn’t go so well. After another failed tryout he was ready to give up the business entirely. But through the advice of William Regal and Dusty Rhodes he kept on going.

It's lucky for him that he listened, as he's currently one of the most talked about acts on the independent scene. And considering Regal is one of the most influential scouts in WWE, we may see Lee signed before too long.

That would be a solid move on their part. Lee has the potential to be a big star. It's not just because of the fact that he’s 300 lbs and performs aerial attacks like a man half his size. What makes him standout is that he possesses the elusive "it" factor. While he’d almost certainly have to start out in NXT, you can start dreaming now of main roster battles with him against A.J. Styles, Kevin Owens and Nakamura within the next couple years. Before that, a main event program against Bobby Roode in NXT would be a blast to watch play out.

Due to how much buzz Lee has picked up this past year, it’s becoming increasingly hard to imagine that he won’t be WWE bound sometimes in the near future.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
