In less than five years as a full-time pro wrestler, Joe Hendry has emerged as one of the UK scene's true superstars. By carrying himself with supreme confidence, Hendry has been able to shoot up the ladder; his keen sense of characterisation and social media use is something WWE would surely love.

Hendry, who also wrestled as part of Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Australia, has become a stalwart in companies like Defiant Wrestling and ICW, and he's dipped a toe into Ring Of Honor over the past year.

Veterans like Kurt Angle and Stu Bennett have spoken highly of Hendry in podcast interviews, and a match against Angle for Defiant might be considered the biggest accomplishment of his young career thus far had he not just recently debuted in Impact Wrestling.

If WWE get their hands on him, Hendry would have to up his game to meet their needs, but it's a challenge he'd surely relish. His promos are excellent, his potential limitless and if WWE could further develop his in-ring work then he could feasibly become a major asset.
