10 Wrestlers WWE Pushed Way Over Their Heads
3. Giant Gonzalez
Another of The Undertaker's worst opponents, Giant Gonzalez's name has become a running joke among professional wrestling fans. His feud with 'The Deadman' was supposed to propel him to stardom, but while Gonzalez was billed at a ridiculous 8' tall, it soon became apparent that height was his only real attribute.
Gonzalez absolutely sucked. The very definition of a "big, lumbering giant," he had no coordination, no skill, and little athleticism. There was absolutely nothing The Undertaker could do to drag an acceptable match out of him, and while their WrestleMania IX bout lives on as one of the worst in the event's history, their rivalry didn't end there.
Unperturbed by the first match's failings, WWE booked Gonzalez vs. 'Taker II for SummerSlam 1993, and it was somehow worse than their first encounter. Gonzalez was still struggling to execute even the most rudimentary of wrestling moves, and his height made it physically impossible for Undertaker to execute a Tombstone Piledriver on him, resulting in a weak clothesline finish.
Perhaps Gonzalez's push would have succeeded if he weren't so subpar between the ropes, or maybe the awful bodysuit doomed him from the start. Either way, he was in well over his head in 1993.
