10 Wrestlers WWE Should Build To Dethrone Roman Reigns
7. Ricochet
Ricochet is absolutely awesome, no one can go in the ring quite like Ricochet. Unfortunately, WWE so far have not taken advantage of the true one of a kind talent that Ricochet is.
Despite this blatant disrespect, Ricochet still remains a very special talent. Anyone who has watched Ricochet's time on NXT Black and Gold know just how good he truly is. If WWE were to truly invest in Ricochet then they could build a story similar to that of Daniel Bryan. A talented underdog, over with the fans, but never quite getting the respect he deserves from top brass. WWE could easily use this model to push Ricochet into a singles run which sees him win the Royal Rumble.
Add to this story a final boss who has been World Champion for over 900 days (that's how long Reigns will have been Universal champion come Wrestlemania 39). Reigns could see Ricochet as far beneath him in the story, and thus be prompted to send a series of trials to the high flying Ricochet in hopes that he can face a "real opponent" at Wrestlemania. This would lead to a series of matches featuring Ricochet taking on various opponents hand picked by Reigns. We could see Ricochet in matches against the likes of both Jimmy and Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, Bobby Lashley, and various others as he works his way to Wrestlemania.
The culmination of all of this is of course leads to Ricochet finally topping Reigns to win his first World Title. With that kind of in-ring ability and the right build, WWE could surely give the fans an incredible story that sees Ricochet prove once and for all that, "Superheroes are real."
