Riddle is currently the RAW Tag Team Champion alongside Randy Orton and is one of the top stars on RAW. In fact, he was even on the shortlist of stars Vince considered to have win the 2022 Royal Rumble. Vince clearly sees a lot of potential in Riddle.
The former UFC star is incredibly talented on the mic, connects well with the audience, and is fantastic in the ring. On top of this, there is certainly no shortage of fans who want to see the 'Bro' win a world title in WWE.
WWE could book this as a coming of age story that allows Riddle to grow and mature from a carefree comic relief into a serious competitor. Anyone familiar with Riddle's work on NXT knows how good a serious Riddle can be. As the story progresses we would inevitably see the fan favourite team of RKOBro go head to head against The Bloodline. The possibilities for this story are endless and the results could be priceless. Just picture the promo segments between Riddle and Roman, and of course, the final moments of Wrestlemania as Orton and Riddle celebrate Riddle becoming the new World Champion. What is not to love?
Add to all of this the immediate story of a fallout between best friends Riddle and Orton over the World Title and the money truly never stops. If not for the next two stars, Matt Riddle would certainly be the top pick to dethrone The Tribal Chief.
