10 Wrestlers WWE Should Never Have Allowed To Leave

1. AJ Styles

Okay, technically the WWE never had AJ Styles -- except for that one match with the Hurricane -- but they did let him get away when they had the chance to sign him in 2014. For over 10 years AJ was the golden boy of TNA, never once considered to set foot in the WWE. When contract negotiations broke down between AJ and TNA, this was WWE's window to sign the free agent.

AJ showed little interest, as he was more than happy working for New Japan Pro Wrestling. His feelings were he could make more money on the indy scene, which is why WWE should have thrown more at him. Now, after his amazing work in Japan, AJ is a legit contender for the 2015 "Wrestler of the Year". He's a hot commodity that could help with NXT and WWE, maybe now WWE will give him another look with more dollars in their pockets this time around.

Josh's work has been seen on Cageside Seats, Yahoo, and The Richest. If it's not pro wrestling, he's definitely thinking about cured meats and/or sushi, but never all three at the same time...that can get weird. Twitter: @HeelDoors
