7. James Storm

Signing James Storm seems like a no-brainer at this point. It looked like he was on his way out of TNA when he appeared on a couple of NXT shows last year, but he eventually opted to re-sign with the company that December. While WWE fans were understandably disappointed, Storm made the decision that he felt was best for himself and his family, and it’s impossible to fault him for that.

Still, with TNA reaching its dying days, there’s a strong chance we’ll see Storm back in WWE. He’ll be 40 years old next year, but that hasn’t stopped them bringing in wrestlers like Austin Aries and Bobby Roode, and there are a number of potential roles he could fill within the company.

Storm’s charisma and brawling style would make him an immediate hit as a singles worker, but he also has years of experience teaming with Roode as Beer Money Inc. Should the “Glorious” hype wear-off, putting them back together would be an effortless move, and provide an exciting new entry in NXT’s burgeoning tag division.

Furthermore, Storm’s 20 years of experience and noted professionalism make him an ideal candidate for a coaching role, providing him with a long-term income source when his in-ring career comes to an end.
