10 Wrestlers WWE Shouldn't Rehire

3. Jeff Hardy

Braun Strowman Adam Scherr 2022
AEW

It's hard to know what the future holds. Tony Khan has intimated that AEW will stick by Hardy for now, but the 44-year-old's personal struggles are well-known and have hampered his career once again. For now, Khan has made it clear that Hardy will only be welcomed back to AEW upon completing a successful treatment program.

If Jeff leaves All Elite and becomes a free agent, Triple H might be tempted to bring him back as a midcard legend who can work with WWE's youth. That's the charmed benefit of being so well-respected as a worker and well-liked behind the scenes, but Hardy in WWE yet again doesn't feel like something that should happen.

Again, his personal and professional situations are both very, very difficult at the moment - and personal trumps professional in all departments.
