5. Toni Storm

She may be only 21 years of age, but Toni Storm already has a wealth of experience under her belt and a glittering wrestling future ahead of her. The Auckland native recently made it all the way to the semi-finals of the 2017 WWE Mae Young Classic too, losing to eventual winner Kairi Sane.

It was widely reported that Storm was offered a deal by WWE following the tournament, but the Kiwi has so far decided to resist the advances of the biggest wrestling company on the planet. Storm is the reigning World of Stardom, SWA World and PROGRESS Women’s Champion - she isn’t exactly lacking success outside of WWE.

But how long can she resist the call of WWE? The Performance Center is currently full of immensely talented women just waiting to make the jump to NXT, and Storm proved during the MYC that she is a megastar in waiting. Toni Storm isn’t in WWE yet, but she surely will be sooner rather than later.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
