Seth Rollins successfully challenged Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at WrestleMania, winning his third WWE World Title. However, had he had it his way, The Kingslayer would have been gone from the company back in his developmental days.

Before being called up to the main roster in 2012, the ROH alum was frustrated that he had been spending so much time between FCW and NXT. He felt like he belonged on the big stage. Annoyed, he let it be known that he was ready to walk out and be a big star someplace else. Former WWE producer and wrestler Joey Mercury calmed Rollins down and told him that if he was patient, he'd become one of the company's biggest stars.

Some years later, Rollins closed out WrestleMania 31 by winning his first WWE Championship. Fittingly enough, Mercury was right by Rollins' side as his onscreen security guard.
