10 Wrestlers WWE Wouldn't Let Quit

9. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan might have lost his WWE Championship at this Sunday's WrestleMania, but him even being on the card was a minor miracle. Three years ago, he retired from in-ring competition following a staggering number of neck injuries and concussions pilling up.

It was reported that due to his passionate love for wrestling, Bryan had no intention of staying with WWE after his retirement. He believed if he could not wrestle anymore, he could not stand to be around the business anymore. Edge said something similar, so The Yes! Man's sentiment was understandable.

However, WWE still saw some stock in the former WWE Champion despite the fact he could no longer wrestle. They had him do commentary for the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic Tournament, and soon after, he was made the General Manager of SmackDown Live.

In retrospect, it's good that WWE kept Bryan around as this eventually left the door open for an in-ring return, reminiscent of his mentor Shawn Michael's 2002 comeback.
