10 Wrestlers WWE Wouldn't Let Quit

8. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is starting to distance himself from WWE after leaving the company in favor of joining AEW. However, he almost ditched the Fed 20 years ago.

At the time, he was originally slated to join the main event of WrestleMania 2000 for the WWE Championship against The Rock, Big Show and Triple H. Upon learning that he would be replaced by Mick Foley, Jericho was mad. He put his foot down during an episode of Sunday Night Heat when he was booked to lose to Mabel, of all people. Jericho felt that big Vis' simply wasn't on his level.

He walked into Monday Night Raw fully intending to quit. However, shortly after letting his intentions be known, Y2J was told that later in the night, he would defeat Triple H for the WWE Championship. He would be forced to give it back by the end of the show and his win was barred from the history books.

While it is unknown if giving the Lionheart a brief shot at the WWE Championship was in the cards before or after his declaration to quit, it was enough to convince the Fozzy singer to stick around for several years afterwards.
