10 Wrestlers You Can't Believe WWE Haven't Signed (Yet)

2. Tessa Blanchard

When Tessa Blanchard worked some shots for WWE as part of the Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017, most fans discussing it on social media were sure she'd become an NXT fixture from that point on. That...didn't happen. Blanchard returned to the independent circuit and would eventually make hay in Impact and AAA.

It's baffling.

She's the daughter of ex-NWA and WWF favourite Tully, and that Blanchard name gives her instant credibility with older fans. Instead of using this to their advantage, WWE booked Tessa as a bit-part player who was only there to make up the numbers. The work she's done elsewhere over the past two years has shown how foolish that decision was.

There's still time, of course. Blanchard is only 24, likes to split her time between the States and Mexico, and hasn't yet followed her father to AEW. WWE best hurry up before that becomes a real possibility. As stated in an earlier entry, All Elite will soon be watching out for fresh female stars.
